Vibrant community and flexible framework help us do cool stuff really fast
When I was in college, I spent a summer developing an events calendar and new publishing system. It had lots of nifty, sophisticated features, like an in-browser image cropper, event reminders and downloadable iCal files. And it was a lot of work. The next summer, while working on an indie film studio's webiste, I came to the realization that I could have built the entire calendar app in a couple weeks using Drupal. I have been developing almost entirely in Drupal ever since.
From the outset with Albatross Digital, we deided that we wanted to put our clients in control of their content. Drupal allows us to quickly provide a powerful set of tools to all of our customers including:
However Drupal's value extends far beyond that of a traditional Content Management System. It is an entire ecosystem of pluggable modules built upon Drupal's framework that can help you acheive nearly any goal. We have always said we would be open to developing with another framework if Drupal couldn't solve our problem, but that has yet to happen. Since we began developing sites with Drupal, we write about 50% less code--which means we are able to tackle your complex problem for a lot less money than many of our competitiors.
Here is a sampling of some of the diverse projects we have been able to build using Drupal:
Drupal has an excellent dedicated security team and has been proven to be scalable on projects like whitehouse.gov and the United Status House of Representitatives. With a host of new platforms and SaSS offerings--one of which we will be releasing in July--now more than ever, there are a lot of advantages to using Drupal.
